Verbe (radical ます) + たまえ

Le point ～たまえ est un impératif doux mais condescendant, employé surtout par un supérieur (souvent un homme âgé) envers un subordonné (« fais …, voyons »).

Exemples

• まあ、座りたまえ。

  まあ、すわりたまえ。

  Allons, assieds-toi donc.

• 好きにしたまえ。

  すきにしたまえ。

  Fais comme tu veux.

• もう帰りたまえ。

  もうかえりたまえ。

  Rentre maintenant.

• 少し休みたまえ。

  すこしやすみたまえ。

  Repose-toi un peu.
